Boro Five, founded by author and filmmaker Julio Vincent Gambuto, is a film production company with roots in Staten Island and ambitions stretching to Los Angeles. Born in New York’s often-overlooked borough, Boro Five’s journey is as compelling as the stories it tells, embodying a unique blend of grit and glamour.

By balancing strength with simplicity, the logo design captures the essence of Boro Five: a company that’s as tough and resilient as its NYC origins, yet as sophisticated and visionary as the stories it brings to life on screen.

We chose a strong, heavy typeface that exudes confidence and permanence, reflecting B5’s unwavering purpose and deep-rooted experience in the film industry. The thick, bold letterforms echo the what some may describe as the intense nature of New York City.

Contemporary. Not trendy.
Authentic. Not superficial.
Cinematic. Not formulaic.
Approachable. Not elitist.
Quality. Not quantity.

Through careful design choices, we’ve crafted a brand that exudes confidence and strength, embodying Boro Five’s remarkable journey from the often-overlooked borough to the epicenter of the entertainment industry. The resulting identity stands as a testament to their unwavering resolve, as proud of its roots as it is bold in its aspirations for the future.

In addition to the core brand identity, we extended Boro Five’s visual language across various touch-points. We developed a range of branded merchandise that employees and fans alike could proudly wear, reinforcing the brand’s presence beyond the screen. This included items such as t-shirts, beanies, and tote bags, all featuring the distinctive Boro Five logo and design elements.

We created promotional materials such as posters, business cards, and letterheads, maintaining the brand’s visual consistency across all professional communications. This comprehensive approach to branding helped solidify Boro Five’s image as a professional, forward-thinking production company.

We also crafted a cohesive social media system, designing templates and guidelines for posts across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This ensured that Boro Five’s online presence remained consistent with its brand identity, effectively communicating the company’s ethos and latest projects to a digital audience.

The second post features a stylized image of a bridge with the text "Staten Island New York." The third post encourages joining the team, with an image of a person operating a film camera, titled "Join Our Team."
